This vintage Japanese Hyakumanto (One‑Million‑Pagoda) is hand‑turned and carved from precious Yakusugi cedar wood, crafted by artisan Sawaya Saburo, dated Shōwa 46 (1971). Traditional symbolic Hyakumanto form: three‑tiered circular platforms, surmounted by stacked segmented spire and pointed finial. The natural beautiful grain of Yakusugi timber is fully visible across the whole piece. The underside bears original hand‑written Japanese ink inscription: artist name Sawaya Saburo, date Shōwa 46 (1971). Condition: Vintage used condition. Minor age‑related surface scuffs and tiny wear consistent with age, no cracks, breaks or repairs. All wear visible on photos.
