PROVENANCE: This lot comes from the private collection of Mr. J. Bahamonde who over a period of 20 years acquired his collection from various prestigious dealers. His degree in archaeology from one of the best British universities and passion for Chinese art is reflected in this cute silver box. A lovely hexagonal silver box decorated on the lid with a dragon emerging from Ruyi shaped clouds chasing the flaming pearl, below a fish jumping out from the agitated sea waves; on the faceted walls, two confronting dragons chasing the flaming pearl, the underside with maker's mark. Size: 60mm x 30mm Condition: Overall, in good antique condition, some scratches in the base, patina throughout.
