This exceptional mid-century modern art glass jardinière or low vase is a highly distinctive and sculptural piece designed by the prominent Czech glass artist Václav Zajíc. Created in 1972, this iconic pattern is celebrated among collectors under the name Rose (Růže). The vessel was manufactured in Czechoslovakia by the renowned Sklo Union collective, with production primarily carried out at the Libochovice glassworks, which were famous for pioneering artistic innovations in post-war pressed glass technology.
