Sitting Nude Figurative Composition” comes from an exclusive series of compositions and artistic representation of elusive and unfortgettable momentary impressions. The idea was born during my journeys around the Meditarranean sea. Being surrounded by exceptionally wonderful people, captivatingly beautiful objects and delightful arrangements everywhere. Being immersed in the aromas of original Mediterranean cuisine, sipping authentic Turkish tea I suddenly realized that these moments were more or less subconscious escape from an oppressive and omnipresent “absurdism” of our every day existence, from overhelming unnaturalness of nowadays social norms and tendencies. Also, from the ubiquitous and terrible graffitis on the walls of museums, galleries and classic tenement houses across our - so called - world of cultural heritage. From pretending that we were still surrounded by the beauty and and by something what once been called the culture... ABOUT ARTIST Robert Andler-Lipski is a Polish-British visual artist, collagist, designer and educator. Studied Methodology of Education and Philosophy. Completed Decorative Tapestry Weaving and Mosaic Design master courses in Poland and Italy. He is known for his exceedingly intricate mixed media collages where he blends noticeable subjects with rough and textured abstract forms. His artworks are created by an mosaic-like collage technique, which he had developed and mastered and which allowed him to establish his own distinctive artistic language. He uses various materials including hand painted and pigment hand printed papers that he cuts or tears apart and then layers them to form recomposed and very complex image. Completing a single piece of work sometimes takes many weeks. Andler-Lipski's highly recognizable style is often characterized as an individual and explicit mixture of contemporary fauvism, abstract-expressionism and brutalism, however, as he says: “There is no any particular style that I could attach or connect to my creative work. I am periodically, more or less, inspired by some trends, of course, but this is a drift in the same way natural as constantly changing (...)” Robert Andler-Lipski's original artworks are exhibited internationally and they are included in a number of private and institutional collections in over 20 countries worldwide. He is livig and working in North-East England.
