Short description of the item and its origin This charming lot features a pair of hand-carved elephants made from fragrant Sandalwood (likely Laoshan Sandalwood). The wood exhibits a warm, honey-brown patina with natural grain variations, indicating age and quality. The pair depicts two distinct poses: one elephant with its trunk raised high (symbolizing good luck and prosperity) and the other with its trunk lowered (symbolizing stability and grounding). These intricate figurines are classic examples of traditional Asian wood carving, likely produced in the mid-to-late 20th century for export or domestic collection. They serve as excellent "Feng Shui" items or decorative accents for a desk or shelf.
