The geometric hand-made decoration has a nice crafted feel, and the original wooden “Special Limited” presentation box makes this a particularly attractive auction piece. [Appearance] This 2005 Zippo features an elaborate geometric inlay mounted on a polished silver-tone body. The center displays colorful abalone-style shell with blue, green, purple, and brown tones, surrounded by white shell-like panels and a raised metal frame. The case shows light scratches, small marks, and minor signs of storage and handling. Some discoloration and age-related residue can also be seen around the edges and joints of the applied decoration. On the positive side, the polished body retains a strong shine, and the colorful shell pattern remains very attractive with a nice handcrafted character. The presentation box is marked in Japanese “ジッポー特別限定” (Zippo Special Limited) and “エポキシ HAND MADE.” The wooden case itself also adds a nice period display feel. The bottom is stamped “ZIPPO,” “BRADFORD, PA. MADE IN U.S.A.” with date code “A 05,” indicating January 2005 production. Please refer to the photos for detailed condition.
