A Victorian calling card case of rectangular form, decorated throughout with geometric panels of iridescent mother-of-pearl arranged in a diamond pattern. The front is centred by an engraved silver cartouche with scrolling foliate decoration, acid-tested as silver. The mother-of-pearl displays attractive pink, green and cream iridescence, with finely engraved decoration across the panels. The hinged cover opens from the top. In good antique condition, with a small loss to the mother-of-pearl at one corner and minor surface wear consistent with age.
