Large Polished Petrified Wood Slice with Opaline Starburst Core – 35 cm / 4.7 kg – Dipterocarpus – Java, Indonesia (Miocene) - Stand Not Included

Description:
An extraordinary, large polished slice of petrified wood (Dipterocarpus sp.) sourced from Java, Indonesia. Dating back to the Miocene epoch (approx. 5 to 23 million years ago), this 4.7 kg specimen features a dramatic starburst pattern of white opaline quartz radiating directly from its central heartwood core.

Visual & Aesthetic Highlights:
* White Opaline Starburst Center: Highlights a bright white and pale cream quartz fill branching radially out from the center, creating a striking focal point.
* Detailed Growth Rings: Concentric annual tree rings transition through soft earth tones of grey-brown, taupe, and olive-grey across the broad polished face.
* High-Gloss Polish: Mirror-polished on the front face to enhance the contrast between the milky quartz veins and the natural wood cell texture.
* Natural Bark Perimeter: Bordered by a rough, unpolished outer edge that preserves the original natural bark contour of the ancient log.
