Ventzislav Dikov (Bulgarian, b. 1979) A Boy with a Dog Oil on canvas 80 × 60 cm Signed on the front. Original, one-of-a-kind painting. Ventzislav Dikov is a Bulgarian contemporary painter and musician. His work has been presented in more than 40 solo exhibitions, including exhibitions in Tokyo, Sofia and Varna. His paintings combine poetic imagination, symbolism and subtle humour, exploring the delicate boundary between reality and the imaginary. A Boy with a Dog depicts a cheerful, dreamlike encounter between a brightly coloured boy and his unusual four-legged companion. With simplified forms, playful proportions and a gentle sense of absurdity, the painting evokes the innocence of childhood and the joy of companionship. The warm, restrained background allows the vivid yellow, turquoise and violet figures to emerge with clarity, while the diagonal ground introduces a sense of movement and adventure. The composition balances humour and tenderness, suggesting a small, imaginary story unfolding beyond the ordinary world. The painting will be carefully packed and shipped on its wooden stretcher. A Certificate of Authenticity can be provided upon request.
