Description :
Rare square-shaped powder box with bulging sides, produced by the prestigious French crystal maker Baccarat.
Design & Aesthetics : The body of the box is pressed-molded emerald green glass, richly decorated with raised floral motifs and vegetal scrolls characteristic of the Art Nouveau style. The box sits elegantly on four small molded feet.
Lid : It is topped with a thick transparent glass lid with beveled edges cut into bricks/diamonds. The inside of the lid reveals a radiant starburst pattern and the Baccarat factory signature in relief.

Condition report :
This item is sold as-is "to be restored".
The glass body is in very good overall condition. The lid shows a few scratches.
Nevertheless, the metal hinge is detached on one side (the metal piece is however supplied with the item, visible in the photos).
The brass mount shows a beautiful old patina with traces of oxidation.
