A lot of 17 bottles of Bava Barolo, consisting of 5 bottles from 1964 and 12 from 1965. Bava’s Barolo from the 1960s carries a historical significance tied to the evolution of the winery. The Bava family—a historic wine-producing estate based in Cocconato (in the Monferrato region)—only began producing their renowned, contemporary Barolo DOCG "Cru Scarrone" in Castiglione Falletto during the 1980s, when they acquired and renovated a farmhouse and vineyards in the heart of the Langhe. In the 1950s and 1960s, before owning their own vineyards in the Barolo area, many Piedmontese wineries (including Bava) would select and purchase grapes or bulk wine from local growers in the Langhe, subsequently aging and bottling the product under their own established label. Additional shipping costs may apply for islands and remote locations worldwide!
