Lot composed from an antique faceted ball vase designed by Josef Hoffman for Moser glassworks in the first half of 20th century (c1920). Named "Planet", this art-deco styled piece was manufactured from uranium glass and shaped through glass polishing techniques, resulting in a spectacular multifaceted geometrical globe form, wich can easily be considered a refined scarce collectible. As an architect, Hoffman was inspired from architecture when constructing the vase design with elements like sharp edges and multiple plane surfaces disposed symetrical. Its material has irregularities and air bubbles as a result of classical glass creation procedures. Condition of the item is decent, with chipping at its mouth insides and small fleabites on some edges(comparative to its glass thickness the chips are almost insignificant and barely noticeable, while some changes in colour tone can be mistaken as damage).
