Description A well-proportioned hexagonal teapot, finely potted from rich reddish-brown Yixing clay with a smooth, subtly lustrous body of clean, sharply defined angles. The domed lid is surmounted by a beautifully sculpted lion knob playfully pawing at a ball, rendered with lively detail and alert expression. Above the body runs a decorative band of key-fret scrollwork, echoed by the four shaped bracket feet that elevate the form. The elegantly curved spout and C-shaped handle are symmetrically balanced, rising smoothly from the shoulders with harmonious proportion and flowing lines — a substantial, pleasingly weighted piece of refined craftsmanship. Dimensions: Height: approx. 11.5 cm Spout-to-handle span: approx. 17 cm Condition Overall good condition; bears only faint, even surface wear, minor patina variations and gentle rubbing consistent with age and normal trial use.
