Inscribed at the top are the words "SOBOR ARKHANGELSKIY," meaning "Synaxis of the Archangels." Christ Pantocrator – The Heavenly Throne At the very top, in the center of the icon, Jesus Christ is depicted seated on a heavenly throne amidst luminous clouds against a radiant golden background. Christ is shown in regal attire, with a cruciform halo surrounding His head. In one hand, He holds an open book—symbolizing the Divine Word and the Truth—while with the other, He makes a gesture of blessing.
