花瓶 - 瓷 - 中国 - 松菊花瓶 (没有保留价)

Short description of the item and its origin This exquisite hand-painted porcelain vase, created by scholar-artist Liu Geng, embodies the quintessential spirit of Chinese literati painting. The main body depicts a towering, ancient pine tree in rich blue-and-white cobalt tones, complemented by delicate underglaze red chrysanthemums blooming along the rocky ground. The reverse side is inscribed with famous classical calligraphy reading "三徑就荒,松菊猶存" ("The three paths may be overgrown, but the pines and chrysanthemums still remain"), a timeless quote from Tao Yuanming's Return to Living in the Countryside that symbolizes moral integrity, serenity, and endurance. Originating from China, this piece seamlessly integrates painting, poetry, and calligraphy onto a finely glazed porcelain form.
