Rare Traditional North African Silver Necklace – Tunisia – Hallmarked – c. 1900–1930 – 80g
A striking handcrafted silver pendant necklace from North Africa, most likely Tunisia, dating to the early 20th century.
The domed central medallion is decorated with hand-engraved floral motifs and surrounded by a scalloped edge. Five pierced silver amuletic charms — including Hamsa hands and symbolic rings — dangle from the bottom, traditionally used for protection.
This piece bears four hallmark punches with profile head motifs, consistent with French colonial silver control in Tunisia or Algeria during the protectorate period. These marks are clearly visible in the photographs.
