A Chinese (Nanking) blue and white and slip-decorated 'Shou symbols' vase. China, late Qing dynasty (大清), 19th century, Guangxu (1875-1908, 光緒) period.
Executed in archaic form of creamy crackle glazed porcelain with brown band (key-fret pattern) on the shoulder, and above the base (sea-waves), imitating bronze. Round body decorated with slip shou-symbols. Neck with band of platan leaves. Inscribed to the base with apocryphal Chenghua mark.
Dimensions: height - 19,3; diameter – c. 13 cm. Weight - 799 g.
