Worpswerder - Bernhard Hoetger - 椅子 - 橡木
Chair, designed by Bernhard Hoetger, made in the Hoetger Fischerhude Workshops in 1915.
The chair is in good vintage condition.
Beautifully ornamental yet minimal in design, probably inspired by the Wiener Werkstätte. Bernhard Hoetger ran three workshops there to collaborate with the Worpswede artists’ community around Heinrich Vogeler. He designed Café Worpswede—nicknamed “Café Verrückt”—as well as two other houses where he lived: the Brunnenhof (later destroyed by fire) and the Hoetger Hof, which can still be visited today. The Worpswede project was financed by the art-loving coffee merchant Ludwig Roselius, for whom Hoetger created architecture (Böttcherstraße/Bremen), sculptures, paintings, and interior designs.
