New Order, Joy Division - Unknown Pleasures + True Faith / 1963 - LP 专辑(多件品) - 2024

Two fantastic albums by New Order and Joy Division, both are new, sealed and in mint condition. Joy Division was a British punk/post-punk/new wave band formed in 1976 in Salford, Greater Manchester. They were incorrectly named Stiff Kittens on the flyer for their first gig alongside Buzzcocks and Penetration but announced themselves as Warsaw at the start of their first performance. Throughout 1977 they continued under this name up to the recording of the first EP but changed their name to Joy Division at the start of 1978, before releasing their first 7" EP "An Ideal For Living". Shortly after the suicide of Ian Curtis on May 18, 1980 – following troubles with grand mal seizures (a form of epilepsy), depression, and other contributing personal factors happening in his life – the band was renamed New Order, following a pact between all four members made long before Curtis's death that should any member leave, the remaining members would change the name of the group. Joy Division – Unknown Pleasures Label: Factory – FACT 10R, Factory – FACT 10 Format: Vinyl, LP, Album, Reissue, Remastered, 180g, Textured Sleeve Country: Europe Outside A1 Disorder 3:36 A2 Day Of The Lords 4:43 A3 Candidate 3:00 A4 Insight 4:00 A5 New Dawn Fades 4:47 Inside B1 She’s Lost Control 3:40 B2 Shadowplay 3:50 B3 Wilderness 2:35 B4 Interzone 2:10 B5 I Remember Nothing 6:00 New Order are an English rock band formed in Salford in 1980 by vocalist and guitarist Bernard Sumner, bassist Peter Hook, and drummer Stephen Morris. Their fusion of post-punk and electronic dance music made them one of the most acclaimed and influential bands of the 1980s. The band was formed after the disbandment of their previous band, Joy Division, following the suicide of lead singer Ian Curtis. Later that year, keyboardist Gillian Gilbert joined the band. They became the flagship band for the Manchester-based independent record label Factory Records, and its nightclub, The Haçienda. They worked in a long-term collaboration with graphic designer Peter Saville who worked on their album covers. While the band's early years were initially overshadowed by Joy Division's post-punk legacy, their experience in the early 1980s New York club scene led them to incorporate dance rhythms and electronic instrumentation into their work. Their 1983 hit "Blue Monday" became the best-selling 12-inch single of all time and a popular club track. In the 1980s, they released several successful albums, such as Power, Corruption & Lies (1983), Technique (1989), and the singles compilation album Substance (1987). The band disbanded in 1993 to focus on their individual projects and soon reunited in 1998. Since then, New Order have gone through various hiatuses and changes in personnel, most notably the departure of Hook in 2007 due to personal disputes with the other members.[4] In 2015, they released their tenth studio album, Music Complete. In 2023, both Joy Division and New Order were nominated as one act for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
