A brilliant piece of Amethyst geode from Iraí, Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil. The specimen consists of an Amethyst druse sitting on a banded Agate that’s covering a little bit of green matrix. The Amethyst shows some outstanding transparency and a brilliant luster, as well as some deep violet coloration. In between some Amethyst crystals, there’s Calcite needles and columns peeking through.
