Both jardinières are richly decorated with waterlilies, reeds, and flowing organic Art Nouveau lines, executed in high-relief repoussé technique, entirely consistent with the Jugendstil period. Both jardinières are clearly signed “H. Donot.” H. Donot is known for refined decorative brass objects from the early 20th century. Signed jardinières by this maker are already scarce — a matching pair is exceptionally rare.
