Cheval Bondieu is a wood-aged agricultural rum distilled by A1710 from fresh cane. It is a blend of rums aged for 18 to 36 months in French and American oak barrels. In Martinican culture, Cheval Bondieu, or "Chouval Bondié" to those in the know, or Phasmid to the more scientifically inclined, is a legendary and emblematic animal. It is characterized by its lightness, finesse, and its bark and wooden coat. These characteristics are reflected in this vintage. It won the Top Silver Rum at the 2021 World Spirit Awards.
