An exceptional antique Chinese porcelain Wanli large shallow 'Kraak' bowl, with a central decoration of a Crow balancing on rocks with fantastic facial expression, surrounded by peonies in an amazing mountainous river landscape with enormous Peonies. In the sky the sun (or moon) and another crow in flight. Panels with buddhist treasures, waves, swastikas, peaches, dots and lines, executed in an excellent and very deep layered underglaze blue and white. Handcrafted in ancient Imperial China during the Ming dynasty, Wanli period (ca. 1580). On the backside a decoration of circles and lines, with a perfect Wanli foot rim.
