6 late Napoleon damask linen napkins with generous dimensions of 80cm width.
PLEASE NOTE:
In the same auction is a set of table linen with 6 identical napkins.
The napkin is framed with "blood red" stripes and chestnut leaves and conkers,
a design I have not seen before and it is a welcome change from the stereo French design.
The initials R.D are embroidered in high relief.
The napkin can also be used the reverse side as the weave is Jacquard.
The damask fabric is scattered with single posies of chestnut leaves.
