Fans of Japanese whiskys should not miss out on this limited edition bottling: The Floor Malted Ichiro's Malt is produced from English and German barley malted to Ichiro Akuto's specifications he learned himself during a trip to the UK, bottled at a tasty 50,5 ABV cask strength. This is bottle no 5781 of 8800. Ichiro Akuta is the grand-son of the famous Hanyu distllery founder. In 2007, he built the new Chichibu distillery 100km northwest of Tokyo, located near the old distillery of Hanyu. The climate with humid summers and cold winters provides excellent maturing conditions and exceptional whiskies.
