This is a Hannya Noh mask made by Tamahide Ishizu.
In Noh theater, the 'Hannya' mask represents a vengeful spirit expressing jealousy and anger. However, when the performer wearing the mask lowers their face, the sorrowful eyes become prominent. Conversely, when the face is raised, the mouth stands out. The Hannya mask can convey either sadness or anger depending on how the performer tilts their face.
This mask, believed to have been made in the early 1900s, shows signs of age, including paint peeling, scratches, dirt, and chips.
