The instrument is in good condition with no cracks, good ebony set up, new bridge and new strings. The violin has an excellent high to medium grained spruce of the top and two pieces back of softly flamed maple with matched sides and scroll. The purfling is professionally executed and the edges are masterfully done. The whole length of the violin is 587 mm and the back 356 mm.
