'Le Bourg' comes from a plot of very old vines in the heart of the village of Chacé, where the soil is predominantly limestone with deep clays. The aging potential is immense with at least 30 years of aging or more. Biodynamics also brings a lot of energy to the vine and in the wines. Le Clos Rougeard makes it a point of honor to control the yields (6 clusters per vine) and the end of maturity, the only way to obtain beautiful concentrations that allow obtaining great wines of terroir and aging. Spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts, long ageing in experienced barrels from great Bordeaux, Burgundy or Jura estates.
