4 Dutch decorative cloisonné tiles. These tiles were produced by Dutch pottery factories and feature distinct designs related to Dutch history and the House of Orange. The tiles are from the De Porceleyne Fles or Westraven factories, known for producing this style of line relief tile between the early 1900s and late 1970s. The top left tile commemorates the liberation of the Netherlands on May 5, 1945, with the text "5 MEI • NEDERLAND ZAL HERRUZEN • 1945" ("May 5 • The Netherlands shall rise again • 1945"). The top right tile includes the initials "R.V.S." and the year "1969". The bottom two tiles share the same text: "ORANJEHUIS EN NEDERLAND VEREENIGD DOOR EEN NIEUWEN BAND" ("House of Orange and the Netherlands united by a new bond"), likely commemorating a royal event like a birth or marriage.
