Most freshwater pearls are nucleated by tissue, but Edison cultured pearls are nucleated with beads, exactly as saltwater pearls. This necklace contains Edison Pearls which were chosen for their bright luster that can be compared with that of high-end saltwater pearls, and for their vibrant white colour. The pearls measure 9x10mm in diameter. Knotted between each pearl for safety, the necklace is completed with a solid invisible clasp. One end pearl receives a fine quality screw and the other end pearl a bolt mechanism. The clasp easily functions by gently twisting it counter clockwise to unlock, and clockwise to lock. Upon closure, the screws are fully hidden. At the standard length of 47cm , the necklace sits under the collarbone.
