In the 1980s, this work was reissued using traditional woodblock printing techniques by the Adachi Woodblock Print Institute (足立木刻版画研究所). The composition centers on a white goat (山羊): its fluffy fur is rendered with delicate lines, while its horns and hooves are accented in pale blue. To the right stands a gnarled old plum tree (梅の木) with blooming blossoms—a classic motif in Japanese traditional aesthetics symbolizing "spring" (春) and "beauty of solitude" (孤寂の美).
