美国. Medal Commemorating the 100th anniversary of the adoption of the Great Seal of the United States (没有保留价)
Beautiful original 1882 U.S. Mint medal commemorating the 100th anniversary of the adoption of the Great Seal of the United States (1782–1882). Designed by Charles E. Barber, Chief Engraver of the U.S. Mint.
This is the documented Julian CM-20 type, catalogued in Medals of the United States Mint: The First Century (1792–1892) by Robert W. Julian.
The medal shows the heraldic eagle with E Pluribus Unum on the obverse, and the Eye of Providence above the unfinished pyramid on the reverse — both motifs from the Great Seal.
This example is struck in heavy bronze, with excellent detail and a deep, original bronzed patina.
Plain edge, as issued
AU-MS condition. Heavy Bronze. Weight: 130 grams. Thickness: 5 mm. Non-magnetic.
