An Islamic Ottoman/Bedouin style silver-metal ring. It features a raised circular bezel with a green hardstone intaglio showing a male profile. The figure is depicted in profile, facing left, wearing a headdress, possibly a helmet. The intaglio decoration served as a stamp or a seal, illustrating a protective symbol or the heraldry of the owner. The raised bezel is richly decorated with a beautiful geometric motif on all sides. The ring band is also decorated a geometric pattern. Good solid condition, wearable. Signs of wear consistent with age and use.
