Mounted in the original wooden block. Each weight carries official Dutch verification marks (ijkstempels) in five-sided cartouches. Multiple yearly re-certification letters present, dating the set between ca. 1930 and 1955. Verification letters per weight: 1 kg: R, X, Y, a, b, d (ca. 1935–1955) 500 g: A–G (ca. 1930–1936) 200 g: K–S (ca. 1940–1946) 100 g: K–R (ca. 1940–1945) 50 g: starting with K + 7 subsequent letters (ca. 1940–1947) Underside marks include WR, MR, TL (official Dutch weighing inspectors). All larger weights are made by Avery, stamped on the top face. Official verification on the underside includes: Crown, ER (Elizabeth II), district 8, batch number 289 (ca. 1950s–1960s). The 1 oz weight carries Avery’s factory mark (double-L geometric symbol). The 2 oz weight is a Crane replacement, batch 10. A representative Imperial trade set from mid-20th-century UK shops.
