What makes this cask special is that the wood used for it comes from the forests surrounding the French abbey of Thiron-Gardais. Thiron-Gardais is the mother abbey of all the Thiron abbeys, including Lindores Abbey. The Lindores Abbey distillery is committed to preserving the historical heritage of Lindores Abbey and its unique place in the history of Scotch whisky. In addition, for every tree felled in the forests of Thiron-Gardais for its casks, the distillery plants six new trees, ensuring sustainability. This lot also includes a 20cl bottle of the award-winning Lindores new make.
