Dance has always been a beautiful form of self-expression. These two sculptures by the Lladro brothers depict two very different forms of dance. "Garden Dance" (Lladro Event Figurine from 1999) shows the joyful exuberance of a young girl lost in her own world of a playful dance among the flowers in her garden. Notice the fine craftsmanship of the flowers in the folds of her dress. In a completely opposite mood, "Primer Ballet for a Perfect Performance" (Lladro Event Figurine 1995), depicts the skill and training of a serious young ballerina in a familiar practiced pose. Together, these two pieces make a fine display featuring two aspects of dance. Whether displayed side-by-side or separately, one can feel the beauty of this art form when gazing upon these sculptures. Both pieces show the fine quality and attention to detail that are a familiar trait of all Lladro sculptures. Although thirty years old, these pieces are like new as they have never been displayed. Still in their original boxes, there is no damage on either of these limited edition pieces.
