Description A refined pair of hand-printed Japanese woodblock reprints from Katsushika Hokusai’s “Thirty-Six Views of Mt. Fuji,” produced in Japan during the Showa period (circa 1955–1975). These prints were published by Yuyudo, one of the most respected woodblock publishers of the postwar era, and supervised by the renowned ukiyo-e scholar Takamisawa Tadao, ensuring exceptional faithfulness to the Edo-period originals. The original silver presentation case bears Hokusai’s famous later-life artist name, “Gakyō Rōjin Manji” (The Old Man Mad About Painting), adding historical depth and collector interest.
