Lookbook Autumn-Winter 2016-17 Dries Van Noten & Gill Button The first collaboration between Dries Van Noten and the artist dates back to 2016, after discovering Gill’s work on Instagram (@buttonfruit). Months of conversations about the possibility of working together led to the production of a series of paintings depicting the prominent Italian heiress Marchesa Luisa Casati, one of the main inspirations behind Dries Van Noten’s Fall/Winter 2016 collection. The thirteen pieces, based on a variety of photographs of the eclectic heiress, later traveled with the collection and served as inspiration for creating the invitations for the fashion show. Almost 1200 invitations came to life, creating precious and unique memories for the guests.
