Bought en primeur First owner, never moved Perfect conditions Only recently made available as a commercial release, Overture has been the second wine of Opus since 1993, following in the tradition of the great Bordeaux estates. Made exactly like Opus One and sourced from the same estate vineyards, the Overture is a classic Bordeaux blend, with Cabernet Sauvignon making up around 70%. The 2022 release has not yet been reviewed. Notes from the winery: "Overture reflects the winemaker’s artistry by showcasing the talent of blending five traditional Bordeaux grape varieties and capturing terroir characteristics of the same variety grown in different soils. However, Overture’s third blending aspect – that of marrying multiple vintages – yields a softer, rounder expression of our estate that can be enjoyed upon release."
