Made somewhere around the first half of 20th century, the ceramic bowls presented in this lot were created in Corund village, one of the most largest pottery centers in Eastern Europe and most important in Transylvania. Surface of bowls is covered in a spilled coloured glaze with their design resembling scallops. It's not common or frequently finding three different sizes bowls that have similar colour tonnes. Their external layer has an iridescent patina and craquelure formation. Condition of the bowls is good presenting irregularities from creation process and some minor use signs. These traditional earthenware vessels can still be used for serving food, but for various decorative purposes also.
