We invite you to take advantage of this opportunity. 【Product details】 This is a Heisei 8 (1996) samurai armour set finished in a golden tone, consisting of a helmet, a menpo with neck guard, a pair of shoulder guards, and a cuirass with skirt panels. Although the size suggests it could be worn, it is recommended for display. The set is an amateur-made armour rather than a professional reproduction. A display stand is not included. On the front of the cuirass there is a rectangular plate at the upper chest (kyūbi no ita) and a vertical decorative plate (sendan no ita); both are fitted with chrysanthemum crests. At the centre of the cuirass, above these plates, there is a large golden wing-shaped badge. The shoulder guards and skirt panels are made of iron, while the cuirass and menpo are made of leather. The helmet is also made of leather with some iron plates incorporated. Inside the cuirass, there is an inscription reading “Made by Goro, October Heisei 8” (1996), indicating the maker and date. The helmet is fitted with a kuwagata crest holder and side crest; the central upright front ornament is missing. Overall, the armour shows rubbing, discolouration, fading and flaking of the paint, some grime and signs of use. Glue is visible in places, and the somewhat rough, amateur construction can be seen in certain areas. The surface of the menpo’s nose also shows some loss of finish.
