It was the studio follow-up to 1979's Breakfast in America and the last album to feature vocalist/keyboardist/guitarist Roger Hodgson, who left the group to pursue a solo career. It was the last album released by the band's classic line-up (Hodgson, Davies, Helliwell, Thomson and Siebenberg). The album peaked at number 5 on the Billboard Pop Albums chart in its third week on the chart dated November 27, 1982, where it was certified Gold for sales of more than 500,000 copies.
