A heavy solid wooden Go-game table 碁盤 (goban) with a set of go-stones 碁石 (go-ishi). The broad top is made of solid wood, and has a beautiful continuous grain in two different natural shades. Raised by four faceted baluster feet.
Complete with go-stones 碁石 (go-ishi) in lidded containers. The boxes are made of dark brown wood 桑 (kuwa). The white go-stones are made from glass, and the black ones are from Nachiguroishi, it is a fine type of slate from Kumano in the province of Mie.
The table is in a very good condition with a few superficial traces of use. The go-stones have traces of usage, which is quite common. Stone boxes with traces of use. Please look at the photos for a condition reference.
