Gorgeous gold encrusted pattern with floral center and striking black on white background/border. With a Tuscan China backstamp. Tuscan China was a brand of fine English bone china produced by R. H. & S. L. Plant in Staffordshire, England. The Plant family were potters dating back to 1775, and the company was a strong family business until it was acquired by Wedgwood in 1967. Marks including the trade name "Tuscan" were introduced after 1902. The specific mark with "Tuscan China Made in England" was used from approximately the 1920s. Photos are part of the description.
