This goldstone cross was likely bought as a souvenir during a 19th-century' Grand Tour' through Italy. It is decorated with six micro mosaic panels, which depict ancient monuments in Rome, made from tiny glass tesserae. Size: 55 x 33 mm, excluding the jump ring.  Weight: 11.50 grams Material: Goldstone (copper-infused paste) with glass tesserae. The mounting is acid tested as being silver. Condition: In great antique condition with only minor signs of wear, consistent with age. Please note that the antique box is for display purposes.
