If an item exceeds the specified size or weight, it may be shipped in multiple packages. ----- Signed Tsuta Fumio (1920-1943) Born on February 13, 1920 (Taisho 9) in Ofune, Tamateni Village, Minami-Okitama District, Yamagata Prefecture, as the son of Seiji Aoki. He was adopted in 1930 by Sakuzo Tsuta and his wife Tsugie of Onogawa, and from the age of 18 studied woodturning under his adoptive father, inheriting Sakuzo’s kokeshi style. He was conscripted into the Akita Infantry Regiment on December 1, 1939, later sent to the Asian continent, and was killed in action on March 6, 1943, in Taiyuan, Shanxi Province, China. He held the rank of Sergeant and died at the age of 24. Following his death, his adoptive mother Tsugie fell ill from grief and passed away in June of the same year. Sakuzo Tsuta later remarried Shizue Tamamushi of Yonezawa and named a son from this marriage Fumio, in memory of him. Set of 2 31*9*9cm 29*8*8cm Total 1254g (D1693)

Signed Tsuta Fumio (1920-1943)
