Genuine antique saddle flask from the late 19th century., probably Persian. The flask is a flat round bottle with a short neck made of very thick glass, hand-blown in a mold. This is visible by the vertical seams on both sides of the bottle. The glass contains some bubbles and other imperfections. It has a round bottom, it cannot stand upright on itself. Therefore I presume it was made for carrying it in a horse saddle. It is still in a very good condition. There are no chips or cracks in the glass. The diameter of the flask is around 15 cm., the height with the neck 18cm. and the thickness is around 5 cm. The weights is 625 grams.
