80 years have passed since this spirit ran from the still of Glenlivet distillery near the small village of Ballindalloch, in the heart of Speyside. That alone makes this bottle of Single Malt a rarity: In 1943, during the Second World War, almost the entire Scottish whisky production had to be abandoned. For two years there was even a complete ban on production in favor of industrial alcohol needed during the war. The fact that this whisky made it into the cask and about 50 years later into the bottle is thanks to the foresight of true whisky pioneers. As a result, this stunning vintage Speyside is extremely rare - especially as this is the even rarer 70cl bottling - and highly prized with collectors.
