Blend Merlot (74%), Cabernet Franc (26%) The Vintage The 2019 vintage was characterized by a mild winter and a cool spring. The hot, dry summer allowed for good ripening of the berries. An ideal autumn was punctuated by some rain. Vinification and Aging Hand-harvested in crates. Manual sorting. Vinification by plot, gravity-fed vatting in temperature-controlled truncated stainless steel vats. Gravity-driven run-off. Malolactic fermentation (1/3 new barrels, 2/3 vats). Aged for 18 months in new French oak barrels with a medium or medium-long toast.
