Elegant French Walking Cane – Solid Silver Handle (Paris, 19th Century) – 800 Silver – 91 cm
An elegant and refined 19th-century French walking cane, featuring a beautifully crafted solid silver handle made in Paris. The handle is executed in 800/1000 silver and richly decorated with flowing foliate motifs in the late-19th-century French style. The crisp repoussé work and the sculptural curves make this a distinguished gentleman’s accessory of its time.
The silver handle has a classic “crook” shape, comfortable to hold and visually imposing, with an attractive organic relief that catches the light beautifully. The cane shaft is made of dark wood with a warm patina appropriate for its age, and is fitted with a brass ferrule at the tip.
A refined collector’s piece and a fine example of French craftsmanship.
